Air Bud: World Pup

Back again with another Air Bud sequel. This time, he plays one of the kid's favorites, soccer.

Buddy got a bit busy this time around and had some puppies. Big surprise - they get kidnapped! Another villain, another sport, another kidnapping. These movies are starting to get a bit predictable! This one was straight to video.

I am sure you could take a wild guess - we were inspired to play soccer! The Kid seems to be enjoying each different sport, so that's nice. Honestly, though, we were at a birthday party with a pool when I tried to play soccer, so it lasted maybe 3 minutes. Oh, well.

Stay tuned for even more Air Bud movies... next time!

Air Bud: Golden Receiver

We watched the sequel to Air Bud, and this time it was all about football.

Another couple of villains show up in the sequel wanting to make Buddy work in their circus and Buddy gets kidnapped again. It is the same boy in the movie, but now he is a little older and upset about his mother dating a new guy. This guy buys Josh a football and they find out that Buddy is excellent at another sport. Buddy joins the football team with Josh - because the township still hasn't made a rule against animals who don't attend the school playing for the team.

It was a pretty good sequel, and the only other Air Bud movie that actually played in theaters. We were inspired to play football while down the shore this weekend.

Air Bud

Get ready for weeks of Air Bud movies. We start our first one with the original Air Bud.

The first Air Bud really is sweet and reminds me of some other classic 90's sports movies, but it adds in the dog aspect, which was also pretty big in the 90's. 2 for 1 deal. The villain is pretty good as far as villains go. The kid cried and cried at the part where (SPOILER) the boy tries to abandon Buddy. It was very emotional.

We took inspiration from the movie and decided to practice shooting hoops at the park down the street. It was a nice day outside and there are so many parks around here, might as well use them.

African Cats

It happened. We finally reached a movie I couldn't find anywhere. Typically when I don't own the Disney Movie I rent it from the library, know someone who has it in their stash, use Netflix or Amazon, get lucky and find it on TV to DVR for later, or rent from Disney on Demand or Google play. This time I was not so lucky. So, A Tiger Walks, we will just have to watch you another day and move on to the next movie. Perhaps by some good luck you will be unvaulted or whatever in the near future.

On to African Cats! So exciting - our first documentary from the list with a Disney Nature movie!

So I watched this while I was crafting and thought I would just multi-tasked. It turns out this movie was way more interesting than I thought it would be (having just watched that Tale of Two Critters movie!) and I ended up sitting down and getting completely sucked in. I loved it. There were some slightly frightening and heart breaking parts, of course. I would definitely watch this one again.

We invited some cousins over and hid my old Beanie Babies around the loft and had the kids go on a Safari and look for them like an Easter Egg Hunt. I don't know what it is, but kids always seem to like the challenge of having to find things that are hidden.

A Tale of Two Critters

Time to watch one of Disney's most random movies:

This movie. I think they just followed some animals around the woods and then made up a story about them. It was very random and the narrator's voice was putting me to sleep. And I just could not believe that the end of the story was just like "the raccoon forgot all about the bear and the bear forgot all about the raccoon, it's just in their nature". How depressing that they forget their friends! I guess it is more realistic but still, I was sad.

Since I didn't make the boys watch this one with me I decided to do the craft alone today. It was National Scrapbooking Day (yes, it's a thing) so I created a woodsy layout.

Obviously I had to use a bunch of bears because of this movie.
