Charlie, the Lonesome Cougar

Next up, another movie about a wild cat! This time, a cougar.

The cougar is raised by a man after his mother is killed. He is domesticated for the most part. Then he gets free when he hears a lady cougar calling out. He lives in the wild for a summer before stumbling across civilization again. The townsfolk recognize Charlie but he is no longer tame. The man that raised him finds a safe place for him to be free.

Charley and the Angel

Time for another movie from the 70's. This one is called Charley and the Angel.

It was a nice story. This man tried to turn his life around and changed his whole outlook on life after being visited by an angel who told him he was going to die shortly. I was surprised to see a young Kurt Russell playing the love interest of the man's daughter. Overall, the movie was OK for his time.

Celeste in the City

I watched Celeste in the City, which was a TV movie on ABC Family. This was not my first time seeing this movie but I forgot how much I liked it.

First, I need to say how much I love the cast. I'm a huge Roswell fan, and Majandra Delfino is awesome. I love Buffy the Vampire Slayer so seeing Nicholas Brendon in this role was funny. I also love Ethan Embry from Empire Records and Sweet Home Alabama (and a ton of other great movies, of course) so I was happy to see him have the romantic interest's role.

The story was cute. There are lots of those "girl-gets-makeover" movies where suddenly, after taking out their ponytail and taking off their glasses, everything turns out right. I don't mind seeing 100 different versions of the same story, though. (see Cinderella)

Casebusters

I watched this movie from the 80's about some kids helping their grandpa catch criminals.

I didn't care for it too much. I just thought the kids were pesky and should have left the case to the cops.

Cars Toons: Mater's Tall Tales

Next up is a few episode shorts from Pixar, mostly about Mater. If you really like Cars and love Mater, then these shorts are for you. If you cannot stand Mater and the annoying things he says and does, then skip it.

It keeps the kid entertained but I'm OK not seeing it again. I'm more excited for Cars 3.

Cars 2

Time for the Pixar sequel, Cars 2. This one focuses a lot more on the sidekick, Mater.

Mater can be funny, but I prefer him in small doses. This film is still good with the added bonus of a lot of spy-fun! Lots of our favorite characters are back and new characters to love and hate, too.

Cars

Yay! It's time for another Disney Pixar movie! I love this one.

The talking cars and hilarious characters are so fun. I watched this with my nephew when he was little and loved it so much I couldn't wait to show my son when he was old enough to understand the film. There are so many good quotes from this movie but I do love the Float like a Cadillac Sting like a Beemer quote.

If you have kids or you like cars and racing, this is definitely one to see.

Candleshoe

This movie surprised me. I wasn't expected to like it and I ended up liking it very much. This is why I love this challenge. I would have never watched a lot of these movies had it not been for this challenge.

This reminded me a lot of Anastasia (animated movie is not a Disney movie). A girl pretends to be a long lost child of someone because some guys bribe her. Pirate movies are usually pretty cool, too.

Can of Worms

Can of Worms is one of the stranger DCOMs. I struggled getting through this one.

The boy decides he doesn't want to live on Earth anymore because he is a weirdo and this makes all the aliens believe that they can come invade Earth now and it is just very strange. And that girl is from Parenthood. I'm glad I didn't see this when I was younger because I wouldn't have been able to sleep.
