Bedtime Stories

This week we watched Bedtime Stories. I have to say this is one of my favorite Adam Sandler movies after 2000. It's cute. He tells the kids stories and finds out that the part of the story the kids tell comes true the next day.

The kid has been walking around since we watched this movie saying "for freeeeee?". Hilarious.

Beauty and the Briefcase

This week I watched an ABC Family original movie - Beauty and the Briefcase, starring a Disney favorite, Hilary Duff.

The movie was cute and I liked it. It certainly was not the best ABC Family movie, but it was fun to watch for a girl's only night. The girl goes on so many dates with these businessmen she works with - I couldn't believe it! One after another. And the actor who played Kyle in Kyle XY was one of them, which made me excited. But of course she didn't end up with him, she ends up with the boss instead! Oh, spoiler... but you can kind of tell from that picture above.

Beauty and the Beast: Belle's Magical World

This week I watched Belle's Magical World. It did not do the original story any justice.

It seemed like a couple of episodes of a failed TV show put together and turned into a movie, like the Atlantis 2 we watched. I don't think it did the original story any favors and they could have done so much more with a sequel. I think this was made during that weird Disney time when they just kept throwing out random sequels to movies in an attempt to make some money. Anyway, this movie is miss-able.

Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas

Our first movie of 2016 is a sequel - Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas. The gang is all there and they have a flashback to a Christmas they spent together when they were all still household objects.

It was a straight-to-video film and it really wasn't the best Disney sequel, but it was nice to see it right around Christmastime. The kid didn't seem too impressed.

I cannot wait to see the Live Action version next year! So many exciting things are happening with Disney movies in the next couple of years!
