Desperately Seeking Santa

This is another ABC Family movie about Christmas. In this one, the main character is a PR manager for a mall and she hosts a contest for a new hunky Santa that she ends up falling for.

It certainly isn't the best Christmas movie ABC Family has had to offer, but if you are one of those people who just love watching random Christmas movie after random Christmas movie, then here you go. (and you are in good company)

Cyberbully

Cyberbully is one of ABC Family's more dramatic and serious TV movies. It is about a girl who gets her own laptop and joins a social media website. She ends up getting bullied by her classmates online and has to learn to deal with the bullying.

I didn't used to cry during movies but ever since I had a kid it doesn't take much anymore. This one had me crying and the struggles kids deal with these days with the online bullying.

Crimes of Fashion

Crimes of Fashion is a great ABC Family Original Movie starring Kaley Cuoco. It is an entertaining movie if you're bored and looking for something chick-flicky.

Christmas in Boston

The Boys are still not on board with watching Christmas movies with me so early, so I'm alone again on this 25 Days of Christmas movie from ABC Family. This time it is Christmas in Boston. A movie about a couple of big fat liars!

6th grade pen pals continue writing to each other well into adulthood and never meet before now. They were sharing pictures of their good looking friends instead of themselves and so when they get ready to meet each other they have to have their friends fill in for them. Sparks do not fly as expected. Be yourself. If this was today (you know, ten years later) there would be no way that they could pull this off because it is way too easy to look someone up online.

Christmas Do-Over

Yet another 25 Days of Christmas movie - Christmas Do-Over. This one had a similar storyline of "Groundhog's Day" where you re-live the same day over and over until it is the perfect day.

I wasn't a big fan. There are plenty of other Christmas TV Movies to watch if you're bored.

Christmas Cupid

Another 25 Days of Christmas movie! This one has some great stars in it. It is another take on A Christmas Carol.

I liked this Christmas movie, yet another re-telling of A Christmas Carol. I liked the cast and I was happy to see a woman in the typical scrooge role. Loving Christmas in the Summer!

Christmas Caper

This next movie is another one from the ABC Family 25 Days of Christmas. It's about a woman who is double-crossed after stealing a diamond and has to spend Christmas with her sister's family in their hometown.

There are certainly much better Christmas movies to watch. But if you are one of those people who keeps anything holiday related on the TV all Christmas season while you are baking cookies then you may as well add this to your super long list.

Christmas Bounty

The next movie comes to us from ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas. Brace yourself for New Jersey. (I'm from PA)

I was a little annoyed at the end because I liked the other guy that she did not pick but whatever. Christmas in August! I believe the next movie is also Christmas related! In other news, 4 months til Christmas Eve- Ahh!

Chasing Christmas

Chasing Christmas was an ABC Family TV Movie. It is a retelling of the story A Christmas Carol. This one has a time travel twist.

I think they could have told the story a bit better. Maybe I just wasn't in the Christmas Spirit when I watched it!

Celeste in the City

I watched Celeste in the City, which was a TV movie on ABC Family. This was not my first time seeing this movie but I forgot how much I liked it.

First, I need to say how much I love the cast. I'm a huge Roswell fan, and Majandra Delfino is awesome. I love Buffy the Vampire Slayer so seeing Nicholas Brendon in this role was funny. I also love Ethan Embry from Empire Records and Sweet Home Alabama (and a ton of other great movies, of course) so I was happy to see him have the romantic interest's role.

The story was cute. There are lots of those "girl-gets-makeover" movies where suddenly, after taking out their ponytail and taking off their glasses, everything turns out right. I don't mind seeing 100 different versions of the same story, though. (see Cinderella)

Campus Confidential

Next up is an ABC Family Original Movie, Campus Confidential - starring Christy Carlson Romano! We just saw her as the mean girl in Cadet Kelly and now she is dealing with mean girls of her own.

I liked the story line but couldn't get passed Cornelia being the same girl from Drive Me Crazy which came out 6 years before and she played a high school teenager in that movie, too! It must be nice to still be able to pass for a teenager.
I feel like this movie came out when ABC Family was making lots of original movies. I can't remember the last time a new one came out. I'd better look into this!

Brave New Girl

Next up is an ABC Family original, "Brave New Girl".

Britney Spears had something to do with the movie and the novel it was based on. It was about a girl who goes to a performing arts school after her brother dies and we watch her struggle to get used to her life there.

Beauty and the Briefcase

This week I watched an ABC Family original movie - Beauty and the Briefcase, starring a Disney favorite, Hilary Duff.

The movie was cute and I liked it. It certainly was not the best ABC Family movie, but it was fun to watch for a girl's only night. The girl goes on so many dates with these businessmen she works with - I couldn't believe it! One after another. And the actor who played Kyle in Kyle XY was one of them, which made me excited. But of course she didn't end up with him, she ends up with the boss instead! Oh, spoiler... but you can kind of tell from that picture above.
